This summer, take advantage of the free available with your Marketplace health plan. These services can prevent health problems or detect them at an early stage, when treatment is likely to yield the best results.
Preventive services covered include:
- Screenings for things like cancer, depression, blood pressure, cholesterol and smoking
- Vaccinations, such as the flu shot and the tetanus shot
- Controls
- Counseling patients on alcohol abuse, smoking and diet
To note: Services are only free when provided by a physician or other provider in your plan’s network.
